APOLO Project at WHEC 2026 in Singapore

The APOLO Project was presented at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 2026), held from 22 to 26 June 2026 in Singapore, bringing together leading researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders from the global hydrogen community.

The conference represented an important opportunity to showcase APOLO’s research activities and share insights on the development of advanced membrane reactor technologies for sustainable hydrogen production and utilization. The project’s innovative approaches contribute to addressing key challenges in the hydrogen value chain, including hydrogen deblending and methane upgrading, supporting the transition towards more efficient and sustainable energy systems.

During the event, Roberto Fiorillo from TU/e presented the work entitled:

Advanced Kinetic Modeling and Reactor Scale-Up for Hydrogen Production in Ammonia Cracking Membrane Reactors.

The presentation highlighted the progress achieved within APOLO in the development and optimization of ammonia cracking membrane reactors, focusing on advanced kinetic modelling approaches and reactor scale-up strategies. These technologies aim to improve hydrogen production efficiency while enabling more compact and integrated reactor solutions.

Beyond the technical contributions, WHEC 2026 provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking with researchers, technology developers, and industry professionals working across the hydrogen sector.
